Since its inception in 2006, the Foundation for Global Scholars is proud to have supported 982 deserving college students from all over the United States and Canada attending education abroad programs.

Foundation for Global Scholars:

General Scholarship ($500-$1,500, any major)

STA Travel Scholar Award ($2,500) for the following majors only:  

• Photography
• Film and Art
• Travel and Tourism
• International Business
• International Studies or
• Foreign Language

*NOTE: The two other scholarships listed on the web site (GlobaLinks and Banks) are for GlobaLinks participants only.

General Eligibility for Foundation Scholarships

• At the time of applying for any of the Foundation scholarships, you must be enrolled in a North American college or university where transfer credit from an academic program abroad will be applied to your degree being earned.
• You must be a US or Canadian citizen

Your year in college may be any one of the following:

Freshman
Sophomore
Junior
Senior
Medical School
Law School
Graduate School
Community College

Your program abroad is one of the following: 

Academic Semester (taking classes at a university)
Internship
Research
Academic Year
Service Learning
Short Term Program
Summer Programs
Other programs which meet all eligibility requirements
